  SEPTEMBER 11, 2024 --

Wallingford Grange’s annual Grange Fair is coming up on Saturday, September 14, between 12pm-5pm! We will be having many activities including a “Backyard Shenanigans” kid’s zone, Chicken coop bingo (at 2pm and 4pm during the fair), an awareness booth about abused donkeys, a touch the tractor event, furbearer display/match the animal, pet a donkey, a match the veggie activity, and some live music. We will also have several demos focused on sewing, crocheting, and operating a ham radio. There will also be several craft vendors and non-profits present. In addition, we will be selling hot sandwiches at the event like we did last year. We hope to see you there!

We had a great time on August 6 at our community Tie Dye shirt making event. Everyone had fun twisting, pleating, scrunching, and squishing to make the tie dye shirts. A big shoutout go’s out to Lisa-Anne Mowerson and Marybeth Francy who showed several ways to tie to get certain designs!

Finally, at our lecture for the August grange meeting led by Lisa- Anne Mowerson, we learned several new zucchini facts and recipes. We also tried out a death by chocolate zucchini bread and even had some zucchini cart races! While zucchini

may not be everyone’s favorite vegetable, it certainly is one that can have many creative uses!
