Hillstown Grange will host their 133rd Agricultural Fair on Saturday, September 11th from 9 am to 2 pm. Hillstown Grange is located at 617 Hills Street, East Hartford.

Craft people, artists, gardeners, and cooks of all ages are encouraged to enter their best items to be judged for our fair.  Judged items may be awarded ribbons and cash prizes.  All entries must be brought to the Grange Hall on Thursday, September 9th between 5 and 7 pm, and picked up between 1 and 2 pm on Saturday, September 11th.

Garden categories include vegetables, fruit, flowers, and our special "Special Contests".  There are adult and youth levels. Kitchen categories include baked goods, canned goods, jelly and jams.  We are the only local fair in the area for entries in the Connecticut State Fair Association competitions.  In the past we had one winner going all the way to win the State title of 'best apple pie'.  Contests at our local fair and at the State level are open to all with both adult and youth levels.  Crafts, hobbies, and photos can be also entered at adult and youth levels.  Please see our entry form for number of items needed to enter.  The Hillstown Grange Ag Fair program guide is available on our web site or by contacting us.

A special contest in honor of 9/11 Memorial will be a ‘Flower-Red, White, and Blue’, any flower arrangement that comes closest to our Flag colors.

Lunch will be available, with our famous hot dogs and hamburgers topped with peppers and onions, from 11 am to 1 pm weather permitting.  We will have indoor and outdoor seating for lunch.  Raffle numbers will be pulled at 2 pm.  A farmer’s market and Grange Tag Sale featuring garden items as well as some regular tag sale items will be held outside weather permitting.

Hillstown Grange Fair is the Hartford area's closest Agricultural Fair, serving the towns of East Hartford, Glastonbury, and Manchester for 131 years, so come and feel the history.    

++ Special Note:  Face masks will be required indoors and we will make every effort for a safe and fun fair.  Please remember that many things have had to change for us to put on this fair.
