Dec. 26: No Meeting – Merry Christmas!
In early November, Winchester Grange held its fall Super Prize Party and Bake Sale with excellent attendance. We are, however, hoping more members come to help out at the next one so please plan to be with us for the Spring Super Prize Party. Date to be announced.
Looking ahead: On December 12 we will hold our Christmas Party Meeting featuring a $5 grab bag gift exchange and holiday themed refreshments provided by all members. It’s always a fun evening. Join us.
We received word in November that the Winchester Center Vol. Fire Dept. (their fi rehouse is attached to the back of our Grange Hall) would like to connect the Grange propane lines to the large capacity tank they installed years ago. They also generously offered to do the work at their own expense. This will make the ugly tanks on the south side of the building obsolete. The savings in propane purchases and tank rentals will be enormous. We thank the WCVFD for their generous offer and support of the Grange. This fi re department was organized in the 1950’s, in large part due to the efforts of Winchester Grange and its members. Our Grange is truly at the heart of this community hosting both the Fire Department and the Post Office.
