| JULY 5, 2016 -- An informative legislative program featuring our three state legislators (Rep Gail Lavielle, Sen Toni Boucher, and Rep Tom O’Dea) was attended by a large audience of area residents. Following the legislators’ presentations reviewing the just-ended session, a lively Q & A period was held. Rep Lavielle is also a member of Cannon Grange and was instrumental in organizing and promoting the event. Thanks Gail! We look forward to next year’s legislative review.
Earlier this Spring, Cannon member Bill Mikulewicz, gave a sequel program on raising backyard chickens. His program last year excited several members to consider having their own chickens. Nothing like having fresh eggs!
We’re in the planning process for our Ag Fair slated for Sunday, August 28th. Please red circle the date on your calendar; we’d like to see visiting Grangers come and enjoy our authentic agricultural fair of judged exhibits, vendors, and entertainment. The admission price is reasonable, and there is plenty of free parking at the nearby railroad station. We’ll be looking for you!
