After a flurry of fundraising dinners in March, April and May, which included availability of comfortable chairs each month that could be had for $20 to recognize their donation or honor or remember another Granger, we are turning our attention to the rest of the Grange year for planning, organizing, and advertising our Annual Fair, which will include behind the scenes hard work!
The Fair will have competition for ribbons and awards for the usual flowers, fruit and vegetable as well as home baking and canning. Talks on old tools and raising chickens can be enjoyed by Fair visitors. Informal education continues with a seed and seedling exchange in May, a garden tour across from Parish Court on July 30 and a Tomato Tasting in early September. Cindy Wakeman De’Andrea continues to work with the Juniors and future Junior Grange. |
