| MAY 2, 2015 -- March found our hall to be a busy place. In addition to our regular meeting in which the program included questions and answers and poultry catalogs were available for viewing, the Saturday following we had a successful chicken dinner with great food and fellowship! Some interesting door awards were donated by members and two Winter Farmers’ Market sellers. Rehearsals of “Macbeth” by the Penny Lane Players continued into early April.
Paul and Diane Lytwyn became Fairfield County Pomona members via taking the Fifth Degree, which was conferred upon them, along with two from Harmony, on April 1st.
On May 2, we have a Hungarian Stuffed Cabbage Demo at 10:00 A.M. Call Chef Steve, our Lecturer, at (203) 367-4373. That evening, the Benefit Street Band along with EC Bradley will be presenting a concert at 7:30 P.M. Mid-month, May 16th, we will have a Seed Exchange from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. and later, at 6 P.M., a “Spring Fling Pasta Night” (Doors Open at 5:30 P.M.) For reservations, call Steve or Jim at (203) 367-4373 or (203) 259-8023. Ticket donations are $20 or $10 for children under 12. A special speaker will be Lee Ganim, “That Garden Guy”; topic “Make Your Garden Grow.”
The future Junior Grange continues to be active. They visited a maple sugar operation, hosted by Bill Hill, at Warrup’s Farm in Redding.
