JANUARY 4, 2014 -- Thanksgiving morning several of our members passed out Thanksgiving favors to each of the patients at our local convalescent home. 150 little turkeys that once flew around our Secretary’s home is now flying around the rooms in the convalescent home. They were a hit with the patients.
Prospect Grange members made and donated sandwichs and cookies to the Prospect Historical Society for their Christmas Open House on Dec. 7.
150 stockings were made and given out for Christmas to each of the patients and 150 snowman favors were made and donated to the members of the Senior Center for their Christmas party.
12 pair of mittens were donated to the National Grange Mitten Tree in Manchester, NH and we donated gifts to a needy family from the Wish Tree at the local church.
Our Christmas Party was one large Pizza Party where we judged pizzas from the various Pizza restaurants in our town. This was a lot of fun. We also exchanged Christmas cards and had a grab bag.
At our January 9th meeting we ring in the new year with snowflakes which will be sent to our shut-ins with a new year greetings.
We look forward to finding new projects in the new year to tackle. |
