OCTOBER 6, 2013 -- Our August programs were enjoyable. First the gents put on a varied program of games, readings, jokes and a skit while the ladies presented a delicious array of refreshments: then the ladies entertained with music, dance, games, readings and impossible quizzes while the gents prepared a tempting repast complete with background music. Jason’s chocolate cake and the root beer floats were much enjoyed!
Our first program in October is in the charge of the Legislative Committee. (Heads Up, Nick). The second one is our annual Halloween party. Round up the grandkids, put on your favorite costume and join us for an evening of games, parades, prizes and yummy refreshments. We will hold our yearly cup social to raise money for Christmas baskets. If you have something around the house you would like to donate to it, bring it along. The evening begins at 7:30 P.M.
We are sad to report that we have lost another Golden Sheaf member. Audrey Gruber, who worked for years in our food booth at the 4H Fair making the best fried dough, has moved on to the Great Grange Above. We will miss her. And if the katydids can just dodge all that mosquito spray, next time I’ll tell you all about super September.
